A family-run business, Seacon can trace its history back to 1955.

CEO
Seacon have become an important partner for customers in the forest products and metals industries, by offering a mix of services including shipping, cargo handling, container devanning, customs entry, warehousing, and distribution. Based at Northfleet in the Port of London, it is from this port-centric location that Seacon operates its own ships, terminal, and transport fleet. With operations having also been extended to Tilbury and Garston.
As a Group, Seacon will also prioritise your time. Reacting promptly to enquiries and investing time in clear communication. Taking genuine pride in maintaining excellent customer relations, we don’t over-promise; it’s one of the reasons we have customer relationships that go back more than 40 years.

Seacon is ready to work with you and find solutions that truly work to suit your requirements. With the means to offer our customers tailor-made logistics – part cargoes, full cargoes, containers, urgent loads, come and talk to us about your shipping requirements.

Seacon has been doing this work for a long time. We have relationships with customers and suppliers going back decades. Those relationships are built on trust and providing a reliable service.

We believe in teamwork and good working relationships. Many of our staff have decades of service, and that helps us provide our customers with a stable and consistent service.
Seacon Group traces its roots to 1955 as a small chartering and agency office in the City of London. We became shipowners and then terminal operators, as we developed through-transport services for shippers of breakbulk cargoes.
Some of our customers have been with us continuously since the 1980s.
We have the assets, we have the know-how, and we have the heritage.

Meet the experienced professionals driving Seacon Group’s global logistics operation.

CEO
Seacon Group
James is Seacon’s founder’s son and has run the business since 2001. Occasionally away from the office and in the mountains, James is nevertheless particularly proud of Seacon’s Jura coffee machine.

Managing Director
Seacon Terminals
Patrick runs the Northfleet operation and has worked at Seacon for 30 years, originally looking after steel customers. Patrick is Seacon’s bench-press champion and is often found walking the Essex countryside with his family’s two giant poodles.

Financial Director
Seacon Group
Kevin is our Group FD and makes sure the business keeps ticking over. Kevin enjoyed playing football and squash in his younger years, but now prefers the fairways of the local golf club.

Chief People Officer
Seacon Group
Nicola provides the Group with HR expertise and advises management on all employment matters. Nicola has not been with Seacon for long, but has provided essential support as the Group workforce has grown. A Liverpool supporter, though, no one knows why.

Facilities Manager
Seacon Terminals
John is responsible for H&S and site upkeep. One of our newer recruits, John, has already made an impact and prides himself on site cleanliness. An Arsenal fan, it’s probably a good job he kept that quiet at the interview.

Shipping Manager
Seacon Terminals
Keaton manages Seacon Shipping and Ship’s Agency Division. A young man, he has already been with us for over 10 years and has been awarded the FICS qualification. Keaton learned his trade from a couple of recently retired Seacon legends.

Office Manager
Seacon Terminals
Annette manages the Northfleet office and also looks after our woodpulp customers. Annette’s family history with Seacon stretches back a long way; her father ran Express Wharf in the 80s.

Operations Manager
Seacon Terminals
Mark runs the operations at Northfleet. He is very experienced in all matters cargo handling. Not such a surprise when you know that, prior to Seacon, Mark served in the Royal Corps of Transport.

Manager
Seacon Transport
Dave is Northfleet-based and runs our haulage fleet. Fun fact about Dave: he is a surprisingly good dancer.

Paper Manager
Seacon Terminals
Ashley is another member of staff with 30 years’ service. Ashley is our paper expert, but also finds time to fulfil Chairman duties at Luddesdowne Cricket Club. A keen sportsman….in his youth.

CEO
Seacon SG
Splitting his time between Garston, Tilbury, and his home office, Martin oversees SG, ably supported by our excellent staff. Having started in 1992 as a Trainee, Martin has worked in every department…other than those that require him to get his hands dirty!

Terminal Manager
Seacon SG
Overseeing our Tilbury facilities, Steven’s keen eye for detail lends itself well to ensuring consistency of service for our customers. Main areas of expertise include customs, compliance, and commercial aspects of logistics. Before Steven joined SG, he was a referee and a title-winning Junior football manager.

Operations Manager
Seacon SG
With a strong background in supply chain and operations management, Jack oversees our Timber and Steel operations in Tilbury. Being from the south of England, Jack, of course, supports Manchester United.

Operations Manager

Logistics Manager
Seacon SG
Managing container and road haulage for SG, Alex’s experience and knowledge in the area belie his relatively young age. Alex became a dad for the first time in 2025, meaning he is well-versed in tears and sleepless nights.

Customs Compliance Officer
Seacon SG
Madelyn’s attention to detail and high levels of efficiency help drive our customs department. Customs, Gym, Karaoke. In that order.

Director
FES Rye Ltd
Lisa has worked at FES Rye for 25 years and runs the office. She makes sure all accounts are processed and must hold the record for speed in generating the month’s results. In a busy office, Lisa provides the calm.

Director
FES Rye Ltd
Liam is our Senior Broker at Rye. For a young man, he has acquired an amazing knowledge of the dry cargo market. Liam used to turn out regularly for Rye RFC, but nowadays he has his hands full with a young family. Occasional diving holidays provide an adrenaline fix.
